Vegas Police Make Arrest in Drive-by Shooting

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Las Vegas police say they've arrested a 21-year-old man in connection with a deadly drive-by shooting at a park.

Police say Jesse James Cole was taken into custody Tuesday at his home southwest Las Vegas. He faces murder with a deadly weapon
and attempted murder with a deadly weapon charges, among others.

The shooting happened around 3 a.m. Sunday when 18-year-old and
19-year-old male teens were in the park north of the Las Vegas Strip with acquaintances.

Authorities say someone drove by the group in a customized car and fired several rounds, hitting the 18-year-old in the head and the 19-year-old in the torso.

The 19-year-old was taken to a local hospital and the 18-year-old was pronounced dead.

He has been identified as David Miramontes.

Police say they believe the motive may be related to various fights and arguments at nearby parties.
