Las Vegas Dog Owner Arrested After Attack

Police have arrested the owner of the dog believed to have attacked a door-to-door salesman.

Police say 52-year-old Larry James Washington is a convicted sex offender who had failed to register with authorities.

They say Washington's pitbull attacked the salesman Friday in a West Las Vegas neighborhood.

The man was hospitalized with moderate to severe injuries.

Police say when there were called to the scene they learned Washington had not registered annually with the state's sex offender registry.

Las Vegas Animal Control officers captured and quarantined four dogs in the incident.
