LAS VEGAS (AP) - An 11-year-old girl who became the focus of an
Amber Alert is on her way beck to Nevada after she was found safe
in Porterville, Calif.
Police say they believe the girl's mother's roommate took her late Thursday by from a northeast Las Vegas neighborhood.
An alert was issued, but was canceled several hours later.
Investigators say witness tips and phone records helped them locate the man, Jose Rangel-Martinez.
Charges against him are pending.
