Challenger Drops Out of House Race Against Nevada Incumbent

WASHINGTON (AP) - Democrat Robert Daskas is dropping out of the
congressional race against Republican incumbent Jon Porter, his campaign says.

A statement from the campaign cited family reasons but did not elaborate.

Daskas, a former prosecutor, was considered a strong candidate
against Porter in the 3rd Congressional District, which includes parts of Las Vegas, Henderson and Boulder City.

Democrat Dina Titus, the state's Senate minority leader, says she's talking to party leaders about getting into the race.
