LAS VEGAS (AP) - Casino company Boyd Gaming Corp. and an affiliate of the Olympia Group say they'll partner on a plan for a 1,200-room hotel-casino project in a master-planned community in North Las Vegas.
Boyd Gaming and Olympia Gaming say they agreed on a joint partnership and applied Friday to the city of North Las Vegas for permits to develop a 66-acre mixed-use, regional entertainment center near Interstate 215 and Losee Road.
The companies say Boyd Gaming would build and manage the casino,
resort and spa, which a company official said could become the
entertainment hub of the four-square-mile master-planned Park
Highlands community being developed by the Olympia Group.
Other terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Boyd says that if the Park Highlands project is approved, it will relinquish plans for a casino on 40 acres it owns at the southwest corner of Centennial Parkway and Lamb Boulevard in North Las Vegas.
