Doctors Ordered to Appear At Hearing On Las Vegas Clinic

LAS VEGAS (AP) - The city of Las Vegas has ordered 15 people to
attend a hearing Monday about the clinic at the center of southern
Nevada's hepatitis C outbreak.

The city attorney issued subpoenas to the doctors who own the
Endoscopy Center of Southern Nevada, as well as several nurses who
worked there.

Top health officials also have been asked to appear.

The hearing will review the city's decision to revoke the clinic's business license after six patients contracted the potentially fatal disease during procedures at clinic. Health inspectors believe the virus was spread by unsafe injection practices.

The hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday at city hall.
