Las Vegas police have arrested a 16-year-old who is believed to have shot and killed a high school student in a drive-by shooting.
The suspect, a sophomore at Palo Verde High School, was found hiding in a friend's bedroom at about 3 a.m. Saturday.
Police say they are uncertain about the motive for Friday's shooting.
Deputy police chief Ted Moody says it's not clear that the boys even knew each other.
Friends gathered at a candlelight vigil Saturday night and identified the victim as Chris Privett, a freshman at Palo Verde who played center on one of the school's football teams.
The suspect was not identified because he is a minor.
He was booked in the Clark County juvenile detention center on one charge of murder with a deadly weapon, three counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon and four counts of firing a weapon from a moving vehicle.
