Thousands Line Vegas Route Of Martin Luther King Jr. Parade

Thousands of people lined a downtown Las Vegas boulevard (Monday) for the 26th annual Martin Luther King Day parade.

Dance groups, marching bands, emergency vehicles and floats helped mark the federal holiday set aside to honor the civil rights leader who was slain in April 1968.

The parade theme this year was "Living the Dream, Setting New Heights in Our Community."

Parade organizers put the number of people taking part in the tens of thousands.
