Las Vegas police shot and killed an armed man after a car chase and standoff early this morning in Henderson.
The slaying was the second in as many days involving Las Vegas-area police.
Authorities say it happened after officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute with gunfire about midnight at a home in northwest Las Vegas.
No one was wounded there.
But police chased the man as he drove across the valley and pulled into a parking lot near Sunset Road and Marks Avenue.
That's where he was surrounded and killed after a SWAT standoff that lasted several hours.
Henderson police killed a man yesterday who they say got out of a car with a handgun during a traffic stop in a drug store parking lot.
A witness in that case tells the Las Vegas Review-Journal the man was not armed.
