Police Say New Year's Eve Crowd Well Behaved

Las Vegas police say the throng of revelers in town for New Year's Eve was well behaved.

As of 1 a.m. this morning, 58 people had been arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center on various charges.

That's about half the arrests made last year.

Authorities say last night's arrests included five felonies, including two weapons-related crimes, one arrest for possession of a controlled substance, and one for an outstanding warrant.

Another 37 people were cited by officers patrolling the Las Vegas Strip.

Hundreds of thousands came to the city to celebrate the new year.
