Two men and two women are facing federal charges they transported Asian women to Las Vegas and ran a ring of neighborhood brothels.
42-year-old Jia Hui Keyes was described as a leader of the operation that became public when several homes were raided in April in an investigation dubbed ``Operation Doll House.''
Her husband, 34-year-old Christopher Smith, and another man -- 38-year-old Mouhua Liu -- pleaded not guilty yesterday in U.S. District Court to interstate racketeering, prostitution, coercion and conspiracy. Each could face decades in federal prison if convicted.
Keyes and Liu also pleaded not guilty to possession with intent to distribute the drug ecstasy.
An arrest warrant was issued for 35-year-old Xiao Hong Qi (``Chow Hong Key'') -- who remains at large.
Two other men arrested as part of the investigation pleaded guilty several weeks ago in Nevada state court to lesser charges and were sentenced to probation.
Ping Sheng Chang pleaded guilty to attempted pandering and John Gregory Keyes pleaded guilty to living from the earnings of a prostitute.
