New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson has picked up the endorsement of Democratic Nevada Assemblyman Mo Denis.
Denis is among a handful of Hispanic lawmakers serving in the state Legislature. His district is in North Las Vegas.
Denis says in a release that he spoke with Richardson and was impressed by his plans to improve education and support America's families.
Richardson says in a statement that Denis has deep ties to the community and will help his campaign to become the Democratic presidential nominee.
Denis was elected to the state Assembly in 2004 and works as a computer technician at the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada.
