Four Current, Former UMC Facilities Employees Charged With Stealing

Two former managers and two employees at Clark County's financially strapped public hospital face criminal charges accusing them of stealing building materials and having employees do personal jobs on county time.

Charged are Christopher Roth, who resigned in June 2006 as associate administrator of support services at University Medical Center, and Thomas Hutchison, who resigned in April 2007 as acting
director of facilities maintenance.

The Las Vegas Sun reports they face 20 theft and other charges.

UMC facilities employees Sime Perkov and Peter Panagos also face charges in the criminal complaint filed in Las Vegas Township Justice Court.

All four defendants are scheduled for a preliminary hearing Dec. 18.
