Police Arrest Man in Laughlin on Human Trafficking Charge

Police say 28-year-old Rodolfo Juarez-Alvarez was booked on charges of trafficking illegal immigrants.

Officers made the arrest after they found a vehicle with six Hispanic men inside it on a dirt road on state Route 164 Thursday afternoon.

They found more than 20 backpacks and coats on the ground in the
nearby desert.

Police say they suspect the area was either a drop-off or pickup point for illegal immigrants trying to move about the country.

The six men inside the vehicle jumped out of the car and ran
into the desert. None was captured.
