Clark County Democrats Prepare for Largest Ever Dinner with the Candidates and Caucus Goers.
With every Democratic Presidential Candidate set to come to Las Vegas one week from today, Clark County Democrats are finalizing plans for its big Jefferson Jackson Dinner.
The dinner's participants include Senators Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, and
Chris Dodd; Former Senators John Edwards and Mike Gravel; Congressman Dennis Kucinich; Senator Barack Obama, and Governor Bill Richardson.
On November 15th, the Democratic Presidential Candidates will descend upon Clark County to participate in the CNN debate and to speak at the historic and near sold out Clark County Jefferson Jackson Dinner.
With roughly 80% of the Dinner made up of potential precinct captains, all eyes are on which Presidential Candidate can win over this important crowd of opinion leaders and community activists.
Clark County, one of the fastest growing regions of the country is home to 73% of Democrats in the state. For Democratic candidates, Nevada offers the first significant opportunity for Hispanics to join in the
process of selecting the Democratic nominee, along with African Americans, Native Americans, Asian Americans and union members.
The Nevada Caucus, the first contest in the West, is on January 19,
just over two months away. With New Hampshire going right after Iowa, Nevada is positioned to either be a tiebreaker or be the circuit breaker on the winner of the first two contests.
