Population Growth Slowing In Clark County

Population growth in Clark County appears to be slowing.

That's according to a new report from the county demographer.

The report found resident population growth fell from about 5 percent to just less than 3 percent from July 2006 to July 2007.

Mesquite showed the strongest growth with a nearly 7 percent population increase over the previous year.

North Las Vegas expanded by more than 4 percent. Henderson swelled its ranks by almost 4 percent.

Las Vegas grew by less than 2 percent.
