Visitor Volume To Las Vegas Edges Higher By 0.4 Percent

Visitor volume to Las Vegas edged up 0.4 percent in August from a year earlier.

That's according to the latest figures from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.

3.35 million people came to Las Vegas in the month, up about 13,000 from a year ago.

That brings the eight-month total for the year to 26.3 million, up 1 percent from last year.

The average daily room rate for hotel rooms was up more than 8 percent to just above $126 a night.

Hotel occupancy edged up half a percentage point to 91.2 percent.
