Judge Recuses Himself From Former Clark County Lawmaker's Case

A Clark County District Court judge removed himself from hearing the trial of former Clark County Commissioner Lynette Boggs.

Judge Ken Cory says he's got a conflict because he once sang in a choir with Boggs, and his brother once mounted a brief bid to unseat her before she named him to a couple of committees.

Boggs is still scheduled for trial Feb. 25 on felony perjury and false document charges. But the date could change once another judge is picked.

Boggs is accused of not living in the commission district she represented, and of paying a nanny with campaign funds.
