A longtime friend of actor Tony Curtis says
public memorial services for the Oscar-nominated star will be held
Monday in Las Vegas.
Luxor casino-hotel executive Gene Kilroy told The Associated
Press on Thursday that a funeral and burial for the "Some Like it
Hot" heartthrob will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Palm Mortuary &
Cemetery, Green Valley.
Kilroy says a reception will be held afterward at the Luxor.
Kilroy says Curtis' family has received calls and e-mails
expressing sentiment from all over the world, including from
basketball star Karl Malone and billionaire investor Kirk
Kerkorian.
The 85-year-old Curtis died Wednesday night in his Henderson
home after suffering cardiac arrest.
