Police are investigating after an officer shot into a car stopped on the Las Vegas Strip over the weekend following a report of gunshots between two vehicles.
No one was wounded, two men were arrested and a shotgun and a
spent shell casing were seized from the vehicle in the early Sunday
Police say they stopped a black Daewoo sedan about 12:45 a.m. near Harmon Avenue after witnesses reported occupants of two vehicles trading gunfire in traffic on northbound Las Vegas Boulevard near the MGM Grand hotel-casino.
Police say the officer fired one shot into the car after one of the men inside moved toward the back seat.
Police say they don't think the men or the shotgun had anything to do with pellet or BB shots that broke a second-floor window at Diablo's Cantina at the Monte Carlo hotel-casino and a window a nearby CVS pharmacy.
No one was reported hurt in that case earlier Saturday night, and no arrests were made.
