Casino operator Harrah's Entertainment says it has formed a strategic alliance with Food Network personality Paula Deen.
A 560-seat Paula Deen's Buffet will be installed at the Grand Casino Resort Tunica, which is undergoing a $45 million renovation and being renamed Harrah's Casino Tunica.
The buffet will be part of the transformation of Casino Tunica's second floor into an entertainment area including three retail outlets and three food outlets.
The Casino Tunica's renovation will also include room refurbishments, with the first tower expected to be completed by May 2008.
The second tower is expected to be completed by September 2008.
Rooms will also receive new beds, carpet and furniture.
The property's first floor will be reconfigured to include a new entertainment bar, lighting, carpet, salon and poker room.
The buffet's opening and the unveiling of the rebranded Harrah's Casino Tunica are expected to occur in May 2008.
Harrah's Entertainment is being taken private in a $17.1 billion transaction.
