Interim Chief Federal Prosecutor In Nevada Gets Four More Months

The acting chief federal prosecutor in Nevada has another four months in the post while a search continues for a permanent replacement.

Steven Myhre (MY-ree) has been named interim U.S. attorney for the Nevada district for an additional 120 days.

Myhre had been named acting U.S. attorney March first to replace former U.S. Attorney Daniel Bogden.

Bogden was one of eight U.S. attorneys around the nation ousted in a Justice Department purge that contributed to Alberto Gonzales' resignation as attorney general.

Bogden recently joined the Nevada law firm McDonald Carano Wilson as a partner.
