Some residents and business owners say they'll be hurt by a plan to eliminate on-street parking on a downtown Las Vegas thoroughfare to make room for bus routes.
The city Traffic and Parking Commission approved removing parking from Casino Center Boulevard from Ogden Avenue to Charleston Boulevard -- and on Third Street south of Charleston.
Officials say the move will improve traffic flow and allow for better north-to-south transit service.
Parking is already a sore spot downtown and it expect to get worse as city leaders try to revive downtown with plans for new condominiums, office space, shopping and entertainment.
