LAS VEGAS (AP) - The Las Vegas Sun has endorsed Barack Obama for president, taking a different direction than Nevada's two other largest newspapers.

The newspaper is mostly backing Democratic candidates, opting for Democratic Rep. Shelley Berkley for Senate and Dina Titus and Steven Horsford for Congress.

But the paper's editorial writers recommend Republican Rep. Joe Heck for the state's 3rd Congressional District.

The Monday endorsement comes after the Reno Gazette-Journal and the state's largest newspaper, the Las Vegas Review-Journal, say they're supporting Republican Mitt Romney.
