CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - Nevada state agencies are holding the line on budget requests for the next two years.

Documents released Monday show agencies are requesting a total $6.47 billion in general fund money for the two-year budget cycle that begins July 1. The funding is roughly similar to current budgets.

A big unknown is whether Gov. Brian Sandoval will include expanding Medicaid eligibility as called for under the federal health care reform law.

Sandoval asked the Department of Health and Human Services to prepare two separate budget requests, one that includes expanding Medicaid and one that doesn't. But only the budget that omits expanded coverage was released Monday. The other was provided to the governor for consideration.

The Health and Human Services proposal asks for $2.1 billion in state funds.
