LONE TREE, Colo. (AP) - Rick Santorum and Ron Paul are shrugging
off expected losses in Florida's primary Tuesday and say the Republican presidential contest won't end anytime soon.

Both GOP contenders were campaigning in Colorado, which holds its caucuses a week from Tuesday.

Santorum says front-runners Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich would be poor nominees and that conservatives need to pick one of their own.

Santorum campaigned near Denver before heading to Las Vegas to
await the Florida results. He said the race remains wide open whatever the outcome.

Paul didn't mention Florida or his rivals during an appearance at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. He said the United States needs to cut federal spending and take power away from special interests.

Paul will be in Nevada this week. He will be making an appearance at the Grand Sierra Resort 7 p.m., Thursday. No tickets will be issued, it is a 'just come' gathering. KOLO 8 News Now will be covering the event.
