CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval has no
endorser remorse for his early backing of Texas Gov. Rick Perry in
the Republican presidential race.
Sandoval tells The Associated Press he believes loyalty and
friendship in politics should mean something, and he pledged to
support Perry's underdog effort until the end.
The end came a day later on Thursday, when Perry announced he
was abandoning his presidential bid two days before the South
Carolina primary and supporting Newt Gingrich.
Perry had taken heat for calling Social Security a "Ponzi
scheme," and he later suggested making Congress a part-time
Sandoval says he doesn't agree with all of Perry's positions,
but believes he's one of the greatest governors in the nation.
Sandoval says he will support whoever wins the GOP nomination.
