LAS VEGAS (AP) - Nevada has achieved record turnout after passing the 1 million ballot mark.

The state reported nearly 81 percent of the state's active registered voters cast a ballot this election.

Tuesday's election brought with long lines and minor polling place problems.

Officials with Secretary of State Ross Miller's office say problems included three voter machine malfunctions that were eventually resolved, and long lines that kept some polls open nearly 90 minutes after the 7 p.m. deadline.

Miller spokeswoman Catherine Lu says nothing close to voter fraud has been found.

Other issues include a campaign sign that was allegedly too close to a polling place entrance, and an Elko voter who was upset that his registration was cancelled. The elections office determined the cancellation was valid.
