LAS VEGAS (AP) - Superstar Mexican rock band Maná is set to perform during President Barack Obama's campaign stop in Las Vegas.

The event Sunday evening is part of a larger effort to woo a key Hispanic voting bloc that could sway the election in the swing state of Nevada. Both parties are investing heavily in Spanish-language TV and radio airtime.

Obama's campaign toward Latinos highlights college financial aid and the president's health care reform, and paints Republican opponent Mitt Romney as an extremist on immigration.

The concert at Desert Pines High School is Maná's first appearance in Obama's re-election campaign, but the band has worked closely with the nonpartisan Voto Latino organization in recent months to encourage voter registration.

Maná formed in 1986 and has since sold more than 30 million albums.
