CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - Senate and Assembly tax committees will start dissecting a bill to revise how Nevada distributes some taxes to local governments.
AB68 comes after months of hearings conducted by Assembly Speaker Marilyn Kirkpatrick.
Some cities argue the formula used to disperse the so-called consolidated taxes are outdated and haven't kept pace with population growth.
The Assembly Taxation and Senate Committee on Revenue and Economic Development will hold a hearing on the bill Thursday.
