LAS VEGAS (AP) - The jockeying for 2016 has already begun.

Potential GOP presidential candidates are meeting with donors, operatives and party elders during the Republican Governors Conference in Las Vegas, weighing possible White House bids.

Some, such as Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, are urging the GOP to shift its message so it doesn't alienate independent and moderate voters.

Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell and others are pitching their resumes to voters less than two weeks after Election Day.

Then there's the approach of Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida. He's heading to the politically important state of Iowa this weekend. Rubio says he's going to help Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad celebrate his birthday, but his visit is fueling speculation that the 2016 campaign has begun.
