CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - A major budget bill detailing general fund spending has been introduced in the Nevada Legislature, signaling the beginning of the end of the 2013 session.
AB507 was introduced in the Nevada Assembly on Thursday after being reviewed by legislative money committees earlier in the day.
The appropriations act lays out $4 billion in general fund spending over the upcoming two-year budget cycle that begins July 1.
Other budget bills will focus on spending for public schools, state employee pay, capital improvement projects and authorization to spend federal dollars.
The 2013 Legislature must adjourn by midnight Monday.
