Brooks' Car Recovered After Being Reported Stolen

SPARKS, NV - Sparks police say they have arrested a man accused of stealing Assemblyman Steven Brooks' car Monday night.

Brooks made the report about 7PM Monday. Police say Tuesday morning, they found the car apparently had been taken by an acquaintance of Brooks, Adriane McFadden. It was found on South Rock Boulevard, with McFadden inside. He was arrested for vehicle theft.

Brooks has been staying in Sparks with relatives during time off from the Legislature. He was put on leave last month following two arrests and hospitalization for a mental evaluation.
