LAS VEGAS (AP) - Democratic Congresswoman Shelley Berkley is
trying to link Republican Sen. Dean Heller to talk radio host Rush
Limbaugh and his comments about a Georgetown University student.
Berkley told reporters during a conference call Wednesday that Heller shares Limbaugh's priorities. She also blasted Heller for not issuing a statement after Limbaugh called student Sandra Fluke a "slut" because she urged lawmakers to consider the importance of contraception coverage.
Berkley and other Democrats have requested that the Republican House leadership condemn Limbaugh's comments.
Limbaugh has since apologized.
Berkley's latest attack comes after she called Heller anti-woman for voting for a measure that would have allowed some employers to opt out of the federal health care law.
Heller said he supports religious freedom.
Heller and Berkley are in a tight U.S. Senate race.
