GALVESTON, TX - A Texas man is facing animal cruelty charges after his dog died, allegedly from being left in a hot car.
Police in Galveston, Texas believe Bill Omer left his pit bull in the car for more than an hour.
The 23-year-old is smiling and giving a thumbs up for his mugshot.
Investigators say Omer was holding his dead pet when they arrived.
He is charged with cruelty to a non-livestock animal.
