LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police say a man is suspected of breaking into a Las Vegas home and attacking the homeowner with a toilet bowl lid and a guitar.
Las Vegas Metro Police say 41-year-old suspect Ronald Hetzel entered a home Saturday morning in the Southern Highlands neighborhood when officers tried to contact him on a separate call.
A neighbor had called police about a man throwing items from inside a home.
The Las Vegas Sun reported Monday that Hetzel entered another house while police looked for him. Police say the homeowner confronted him and Hetzel hit him in the head with a wooden guitar anda toilet bowl lid and then tried to strangle him.
Hetzel was arrested on suspicion of home invasion, burglary, attempted murder and battery with a deadly weapon.
