STOCKHOLM (AP) - Children at a church in Sweden have been
especially interested in a new 6-foot-tall statue of Jesus that was
unveiled on this Easter Sunday.
That's because it's made out of Lego blocks -- 30,000 of them.
Forty volunteers spent about 18 months putting the tiny plastic blocks together. The result is a standing Jesus with arms outstretched.
Some of the children in the congregation today couldn't help but touch the white artwork.
A church spokesman says it's a copy of a statue on display in Copenhagen by a Danish sculptor.
Although it's all white on the outside, some of the donated Lego blocks that were used were of other colors, and were placed inside the statue.
