TEXAS CITY, Texas (AP) - Workers removing a roof in Texas nearly
had the job done for them by accident.
Police in Texas City said a construction crew found a live World War II-era hand grenade in the attic of a home Thursday.
Police say an FBI bomb technician was called and the grenade was
detonated at a shooting range with no injuries.

The roof was being replaced because of damage from Hurricane Ike last year.
