Across the country, there's a major push to keep pets off the laps of drivers who could potentially be distracted by them.

AAA finds nearly a third of all drivers today admit to being distracted by their pets too. Many states are starting to move on this.

Hawaii is now outlawing drivers from holding pets on their laps. Rhode Island and Oregon may do the same, while drivers in Arizona, Connecticut and Maine now face fines.
