INCLINE VILLAGE, NV - A woman from New Jersey is dead after a crash Wednesday afternoon on Lake Tahoe. 52-year-old Dawn Finn was killed when two Sea-Doo personal watercraft collided. It happened just before 2:00 PM about 200 yards off Incline Beach.
The Nevada Division of Wildlife, which handles boating safety, says Finn and her 21-year-old daughter were riding rented watercraft when it happened. Finn was killed; her daughter was not injured.
The crash is still under investigation. NDOW says alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash, but inexperience may have played a roll. They say the accident serves as a reminder of the importance of boating safety.
