Police Identify Victim, Make Arrest in Fatal Sparks Hit and Run

SPARKS, NV- UPDATE: Police have identified the victim in this hit and run as 79-year-old Conception Baggett. Sparks Police say she is from Napa, California and was in town visiting relatives.
SPARKS, NV- UPDATE: Sparks Police say the woman who was hit last night has died of her injuries.

Also, police say the driver, 30-year-old Tamara Hanson, also known as Tamara Cossey, was located by officers. She admitted to being the driver.

She's been charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident involving Death and her bail was set at $20,000.

Update: Sparks police say they've found the truck they believe was involved in the hit and run accident. They have not said if any arrests were made. The case remains under investigation.

SPARKS, NV- Sparks police are on the hunt for a driver who hit a pedestrian Thursday night, but simply drove off.

The crash happened around 9 p.m. at the intersection of Oddie Blvd. and Sullivan Lane in Sparks. Sparks police say the pedestrian was in the crosswalk at the time. The pedestrian was injured and rushed to Renown Medical Center. It's unclear how serious the injuries are.

Witnesses describe the vehicle involved in the hit and run as a dark colored truck with a lift kit.
