The trucking company that owned the semi truck that crashed into the side of an Antrak train last month is facing another lawsuit.
William Knox of Seward Nebraska is suing for damages over the loss of his 58-year-old wife, Frances Knox, and 18-year-old adopted granddaughter, Karly Anne Knox.
They were among the five people on the train killed in the June
24 crash, along with the truck driver, 43-year-old Lawrence Valli
of Winnemucca.
Knox's suit was filed Wednesday in Washoe District Court by the
same lawyers representing an Amtrak attendant who last week sued
the John Davis Trucking Co. of Battle Mountain. The firm also is
named in suits by a second train attendant and Amtrak itself.
