RENO, NV - A Reno Fire Department hazmat crew says powder found at the Umpqua Bank branch on Robb Drive in Reno late Tuesday afternoon is not harmful.
A fire battalion chief says a "shelter in place" was set up, meaning no one was allowed in or out of the bank as a precaution until the powder was identified or determined not to be harmful. He says it hasn't been identified except to determine no one was in danger.
No one touched the powder and investigators haven't determined how it got there. Police weren't called to the scene.
