RENO -- Students from Truckee Meadows Community College are raising money for those injured in the Boston attack.
Amy Blomquist, a TMCC advisor, ran in the Boston Marathon.
"Getting very excited feeling like this was a goal of mine, to getting to the end... just panic, the only thing I really cared about was making sure my family was okay," she said.
Blomquist is encouraging others to help after the attack. She is among those urging support of Wiggle Your Toes, a non-profit that helps amputees.
"As much money as possible to help them out with what they need," she said.
Blomquist said her mother received more than thirty stitches in her leg after the attack. She said her mother is recovering and is now driving again.
A multi-faith prayer was also held at TMCC.
