RENO, Nev. (AP) - State troopers continue to investigate the fatal motorcycle accident in Reno that snarled traffic on U.S. Highway 395 and shut down the Glendale exit for about three hours during Friday afternoon's rush hour.
A Sun Valley man on the motorcycle was killed in the crash about 1p.m. His name has not been released.
A preliminary investigation indicates the driver of a 2010 Nissan four-door sedan didn't see the motorcycle when he made a lane change and struck the Kawasaki, which then collided with an exit sign.
Trooper Chuck Allen says the driver of the car, 61-year-old Mark Davis of Grass Valley, Calif., was not injured and immediately pulled over to the side of the road. Allen says it does not appear that drugs or alcohol were involved.
