Sparks woman accused of killing her mother goes before a Judge Monday.
Catherine Eisley, 48, went before a judge Monday via teleconference since her arrest Wednesday for the brutal death of her mother.
Eisely called the police Wednesday evening to report the death of her elderly mother Cherry Clasen at 2675 Nelson Way.
Police confirmed the death of the 70-year-old but suspected the woman did not die of natural causes.
According to police Eisley confessed to killing her mother by beating her with a bat and later stabbing her after slitting her throat with a knife she purchased at a local Raleys prior to the murder.
According to a police report, Eisley told investigators that her mother caused her to have post Traumatic Stress Disorder, explaining she witnessed, as a young girl, her mother and 15-year old brother committing incest. By 1995, Eisley said she was forced to take special medication to help level out her depression.
The charge is murder with a deadly weapon.
It is unknown at this time if a plea was made by Eisley.
