SPARKS, NV - Sparks police are still looking for a man who blasted his way into a home with a shotgun Monday morning. Secret Witness is offering a reward for his arrest.

Just before 6am, police were called by an alarm company about an alarm at 1112 First Street. That call was updated quickly to indicate an intruder was in the house, and the homeowner thought she heard a shot.

When police got there, the homeowner told them she saw someone at the top of the stairs in the garage. She says she ran into the house and locked the door, followed by the suspect, who used a 12-gauge shotgun to blast the lock off the door. The victim locked herself in a bedroom and didn't see the man again.

A SWAT team was called in and found nobody in the house but the victim, who says she thinks the man is Hispanic, about 5'9", and wearing a yellow rain coat. Anyone with any information is asked to call Sparks Police at 353-2225. Secret Witness is offering a reward in the amount of $1,500 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect wanted in connection with the armed home invasion.
