Sparks police are looking for a man who tried to lure a child Tuesday evening. Police got a call from the mother of an 11-year-old boy at 5:20pm.

This is a picture of the type of van the suspect is driving. It is not a photo of the actual van, and the color is not accurate. The actual van is a faded red color.

SPARKS, NV - Sparks police are looking for a man who tried to lure a child Tuesday evening. Police got a call from the mother of an 11-year-old boy at 5:20pm.

According to the mother, the boy was riding his bike near Bud Beasley Elementary school when a man tried to get him into his van. The victim kept riding his bike toward home and the suspect continued to get the child in his van. After a while he drove off and the boy returned home safely.

The man is described as a white male, 35 to 40 years old, wearing dark sunglasses. He had collar-length brown hair and a medium build. He is also reported to have a deep voice.

His vehicle is described as an older rusty, faded red Ford van with dark tinted windows and small tinted windows on the back. The van has a passenger-side sliding door. The bumpers of the van might have some damage. The man may have had a dog in the van with him.
