SPANISH SPRINGS -- A Spanish Springs woman says she wants to tell others about a likely scam.
Barbara Rowland said she received a postcard in the mail that stated she was entitled to a Wal Mart or Target reward. The card included a phone number.
Rowland said when she called the number, she was told she needed to pay four dollars and provide personal information.
"When they asked for the information of your credit card then I knew it's not for real," she said.
A spokesperson for Wal Mart said the postcard is likely a scam. She said Wal Mart is not associated with anything like what the postcard describes. She added it's unfortunate scam artists are using the Wal Mart brand to defraud people.
