South Reno Chemical Fire Knocked Down In Minutes

A fire on Granite Springs Road in south Reno may have started from chemicals coming in contact with a water heater, according to fire officials.

RENO, NV - A fire on Granite Springs Road in south Reno may have started from chemicals coming in contact with a water heater, according to fire officials.

The fire started after 5pm on Wednesday and was reported by the owner, who was in the home at the time.

The cause is still under investigation and firefighters were able to knock down the garage fire in six minutes.

There are no reported injuries.
